Pick up at 11.30am and head off for a tour to the famous Golden Circle including Þingvellir-Gullfoss-Geysir. On this popular day tour the famous Golden Circle route is combined with stops at local farms for some traditional tastes, a visit to a local spa and a chance to see the Northern Lights. Heading out of Reykjavík, we set our course through Þingvellir to the local greenhouse, Friðheimar. There we get a taste of their delicious tomato soup and freshly baked bread for Lunch.
Next we visit the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall and the great Geyser geothermal area where the reliable Strokkur geyser spouts hot water up as high as 15 - 30 m. After enjoying these jewels of Icelandic nature, it is time to turn our attention back to the taste buds with a visit to the farm Efstidalur. There we get a few samples of their local products such as skyr and delicious ice cream. After it´s time for some relaxation at the geothermal spa Fontana followed by a 2 course dinner at the local restaurant Lindin. After a nice meal we head out to explore the mysterious nights of Iceland where we go and search for the magical Northern Lights.
Day 3 - Glacier Walking and Aurora searching in the South.
After a leisurely breakfast, head out to see two winter highlights in Iceland: the south shore and the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. On the way we pass impressive waterfalls as well as the world famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano. A safe and easy glacier walk on crampons will take you up on to the ice field of Sólheimajökull to discover a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses.
After the Glacier Walk, head to the powerful Skógafoss waterfall before enjoying a traditional Icelandic dinner at a local restaurant. As we head out into the night looking out for those magical Northern Lights, we pay a mandatory stop at the lit up Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon, therefore sights cannot be guaranteed.

This morning, make your way to the domestic airport (transfer not included) where you'll board a 60 minute flight to the beautiful town of Akureyri.
Often referred to as the "capital" of the north, Akureyri is by far the largest town in the north of Iceland and it's the second largest urban area in Iceland with a population little less than 20,000. Located only 60 kilometres from the Arctic circle, the mountains in the area are often capped with snow year round, and in the winter they offer some of the best skiing in the country.
For the next two nights you'll be staying at the comfortable hotel right in the town's centre. There is the possibility to go on another Northern Lights tour this evening if desired.

The Lake Mývatn area is considered by many to be the most beautiful and, at the same time, the most catastrophic place in Iceland.
